If you’re like me and leak on the opposite side while nursing, use a milk catcher to save your liquid gold and bonus, if you are using a catcher or pump with suction, it can help you to increase your supply.

Milk Catchers

Here’s milk catchers I’ve tried and the order I like them while nursing a baby. From most favorite to least

  • Lacti-cups: Comfortable, doesn’t show under your shirt, can wear laying down and leakproof (ish) when bending over. Cons: doesn’t hold very much.
  • Milkies: Caught the most milk for me, has a good structure so your nipple doesn’t get smashed, but this one didn’t last as long for me before it started to yellow with such frequent washing and sterilizing.
  • Boon Trove (Curve knock-off): I haven’t personally tried but I’ve read great things about it and is a much more affordable option than the Curve.
  • Elvie Curve: Has a light suction and stays put in your bra. I found this harder to clean and bulkier than the other options.
  • Haaka ladybug: Light suction, can nurse laying down, catches a couple ounces, not discreet but love!
  • Haaka: Great for clogged ducts but not great once your baby is moving around and trying to bat it off with hands and feet.
  • Elvie Catch: Super discreet but they hardly hold any volume and are difficult to pour out after.
