How to hack the Spectra breast pump to be hands free
The Spectra pump (or the gold series) is one of the best in my opinion but wow is it inconvenient when you have a toddler, a baby and dogs needing you all at once while you are pumping. Here’s how I hack my spectra to be hands free.
Freemie Cups
Freemie cups might just be one of the greatest inventions to make you wall pump tolerable. They are collection cups that sit inside your bra (this one is my favorite) – no pumping bra needed!! They can connect to a variety of wall pumps including the Spectra and Baby Buddha and you no longer have to deal with the awful flanges sticking out from your body making it near impossible to be conspicuous or to hold anything, let alone your baby.
Freemie cups come in a variety of sizes with the largest capacity up to 8oz. I’m obsessed.
A Backpack
Next up to make them handsfree, get a small backpack (I love this stylish one that doubles as a cooler!). Snake your tubs either under your shirt, or thru the neck, pop your spectra into the backpack and voila, hands free!!
If you have the pink spectra that requires it to be plugged into the wall, you will need to purchase a battery pack to add into your backpack.
Boom. Hands free!
