Learn how I walked 23,000 steps yesterday while I worked an 8hr day with an under desk treadmill.

Getting your steps in working full-time

I’m still not sure how to best manage and balance all the things I have to do in a day as a full-time working mom. It’s a balancing act to work, spend quality time with the kids, my husband and dogs, write this blog, pump, workout, make dinner, clean up from dinner, put the kids to bed, shower, read… the list goes on. And to be honest, “workout” never makes it to the top of that priority list.

Under Desk Treadmill

Especially while I am still breastfeeding / pumping, I don’t take the time to get out and go for a walk or go to the gym so I invested in quite frankly, one of my best prime day purchases to date: an under desk treadmill. This treadmill allows me to get in my steps while I’m working with the added benefit of a big boost in focus. I was initially worried that it would be difficult to read and type while walking but I find that it has increased my focus and working speed after a few short days of adjustment.

I chose the FYC Under Desk Treadmill after reading way too many reviews across multiple listings. This treadmill has an easy folding arm, speeds up to 7.5mph, is super quiet and has a remote control. I average around 7-10 miles a day and have had it for 15 months now with no issues. I walked daily during my pregnancy with Charlie, including the week I delivered!

If this post wasn't a sign to get it, it's currently on sale for Black Friday with a coupon! So in girl math, you're basically making money!

Standing Desk

If you’re looking for a standing desk I have this FAMISKY 55″ dual motor standing desk.

For Mother’s day my husband put on a custom pine butcher block top to create a truly fabulous setup for my monitor, laptop and lots of coasters and snacks :).

Fit-On

In addition to getting my daily steps in while I work, I love the Fit On app. This free app has a massive library of workouts where you can filter by time, trainer, workout type and muscle group. The guided videos have a trainer doing them with you and talking you through how to do each exercise including breath-work. Really can’t recommend it enough!
